Since 2013 Activision has hosted the largest $1 million Call of Duty event - The Call of Duty Championship, where the best players from around the world converge and compete against each other. There are regional tournaments in Asia Pacific, Brazil, Europe and North America to determine qualification and seeding at the championships.
In 2016 Activision has also started The Call of Duty World League. It will act as a qualifier for the annual Call of Duty Championship and will be composed of two divisions, a Professional division and an Amateur division, with the top teams of both qualifying for the championships. A total $3 million of prize money will be given out throughout the World League run, with the Call of Duty Championships handing out $1.6 million.
